Compare Plans

UCare Individual & Family plans are available on the MNsure exchange for those who live in the metro area or in northeastern Minnesota. UCare is for people who are not eligible for Medicare or Medical Assistance, and:

  • Are self-employed, or
  • Work part-time, or
  • Don’t have insurance through work

Minnesota Health Care Programs

UCare's Minnesota Health Care Programs plans offer several Medical Assistance, MinnesotaCare and combined Medical Assistance & Medicare coverage options.

Each of these plans has eligibility requirements based on individuals’ age, income, county of residence and disability (if applicable).

Medical Assistance eligibility determinations and enrollment for most of the plans occurs online through MNsure, Minnesota’s health insurance marketplace, or through a paper process managed by the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) through an individual’s county of residence.

People eligible for UCare’s Minnesota Senior Health Options (UCare’s MSHO), UCare Connect and UCare Connect + Medicare can enroll through UCare.
